Interview: Getting to know RedHook

Sydney-based RedHook have just dropped their new single. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are RedHook – screaming rap rock electro pop mutants fighting against the forces of darkness inside our own heads.

Paralysed is a song that shines an ugly but very real spotlight on those dark periods when depression and anxiety is crushing you – and inside you’re just screaming at yourself to snap out of it and get on with business, but physically – you just can’t. It’s like you’re incapacitated, you can’t even move. You’re fighting as hard as you can but you feel paralysed.

Home is Yaaaaassssss! But seriously – Yass. Born and bred (Craig).

I spend too much time stressing about the little things and not being able to enjoy the ride. It’s been a major issue in my life that I’m still trying to sort out.

It might surprise people to learn that no one in the band has any tattoos! But who knows? That could always change one night after one of us has a little too much to drink.

I’ve honestly never been more excited about the future and happier with life. With all the struggles we’ve faced over the years – both personally and as musicians – to have the opportunity to share what we’ve created and shine a light on issues that are important to us is beyond amazing.
