Sahara Beck tells us her queens of hearts

Brisbane artist Sahara Beck’s new EP, Queen Of Hearts, has just been released. Two years in the making, it stars her previous singles ‘Here We Go Again’, ‘I Haven’t Done a Thing Today’ and ‘Don’t Overthink It’. To celebrate the release of Queen of Hearts, we asked Sahara to tell us her current top five female artists. Here they are…

SAMPA THE GREAT
Everything she has created makes me feel like such a boss. She’s wild with so much soul. I can’t wait to catch her on tour soon.

LIZZO
She has carved out her own place in the industry (in my eyes) and will not back down and I just fucking love that. Lizzo is a powerhouse and the real deal. I may or may not cover one of her tracks on my forthcoming tour.

LITTLE SIMZ
She wrote that song “Boss” and that song has given me life for like 6 months this year. For sure this beat is flames. She’s mad talented and has written some of the edgiest and smoothest jams I’ve heard in ages.

ARIANA GRANDE
This choice may surprise some people but her voice is my absolute favourite at the moment. It’s the perfect set of pop vocal chords.

WAAX
Maz deVita – She is one bad bitch all round and so hard working. Huge stage charisma, her energy is incredible. Also “Labrador” c’mon get ooooutta here that’s a god damn great song.
