Interview: Getting to know Marco

18-year-old Brisbane local Marco has just dropped his new single ‘Only Want You’. We asked him to tell us about himself:

I am… Marco. I’m an 18 year old from Brisbane who loves to make music, work on my car, and who enjoys spending time with family and friends. I’m always down to chat with whoever and wherever I might be, cause I love learning about others and what knowledge they have to offer, regardless of age.

Only Want You is… a song that I like leaving the meaning of to those that listen. Most people have their own understanding of each track and I like to see what people take from it or how they depict the lyrics. It has a meaning to me, but I don’t usually tell people what it’s about.

I have been keeping myself busy lately by… working on my car, building stuff for my studio and working out as much as possible.

Home is… where I can do absolutely nothing but have everything I need in one place. Where people can come over whenever they want to just hang out and chat about anything.

It might surprise people to learn that… I got yelled at by a “Karen” the other day for no reason whatsoever.

In the future… I hope that people can really appreciate the time they spend together so they’re not constantly consumed by what others are doing or what it looks like they’re doing on social media. For people to be happy with what they have because there are plenty of people who have nothing. If we’re talking about my music stuff, I hope that I just get to travel and connect with as many people as possible. That’s what I feel like music is all about.
