Our top ten tunes of the week – May 29

These are the ten songs that have been on constant rotation in our HQ over the past seven days:

1. San Cisco – On The Line

The single dives into the dynamics of a waning relationship. The band explains, “Where do you draw the line? When do you pull the plug? How do you know if the juice is worth the squeeze? The game of love is never an easy one to play. Do you pick up the pieces and move onto to something new? Or stick it out for another round of romance?”

2. Sarah Walk – what do i want?

Sarah has just announced her sophomore album, Another Me, on One Little Indian Records, released on August 28.

3. Fancy Face – Just You Wait

“It’s a metaphorical tale about how one person initially viewed another,” reveals lead vocalist and guitarist Aaron Bach. “Things in life can change very quickly and we can either let it determine who we are or not. I chose to write a song that kinda settled the score for me.”

4. Alice Skye – Grand Ideas

Alice is a multi-award winning, Naarm-based Wergaia / Wemba Wemba woman. Check out her new video.

5. BO NINGENMinimal

The band’s new single features a guest vocal appearance from Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie. Their new album, Sudden Fictions, is released 26th June 2020 via Alcopop!

6. Everything Everything – Arch Enemy

Lead vocalist Jonathan Higgs commented, “I made this video together with an old school friend, with whom I used to draw the most insane and grotesque things. We let our imagination run wild to bring the fatberg to life and create a world of friendly horror.”

7. Those Fantastic Things – Don’t Feel

The single comes from the UK indie-pop band’s forthcoming debut album, I Never Left, which is being released on Monday 8th June

8. Travalley – Dear Babe

Check out the seriously spicy video of the Melbourne duo smashing down as many chilies as they possibly can for the duration of the song.

9. Amela – I’m Alright

Have a listen to the new one from the Gold Coast singer-songwriter. Keep an eye out for her album, due out later this year.

10. Sergeant Buzfuz – Theresa McKee

This is the first single from the Sheffield band’s new album ‘Fox Pop’, out July 3rd.
