Interview: Getting to know Lamalo

Sydney-based producer duo Lamalo have released their new single ’Six Feet Under’ ft. Charlotte Adelle. We asked Yossi from the duo to tell us more:

We are… Lamalo, an electronic duo that formed at the Sydney Conservatorium when we realised we needed an outlet for our love of electronic music.

Six Feet Under is… about burying the love you had for someone. Realising all the things that weren’t right in the relationship and taking the rose-tinted glasses off.

Home is… in the studio, which is now in my home. We experimented with having studios in the city, but we’ve moved back to our roots and the equipment is all at my place again. 

I spend too much time… watching old mafia movies on Netflix. Oh, and ‘Impractical Jokers’, it’s actually affecting my life. I’m constantly trying to prank my girlfriend and I’m not sure if she appreciates it.

I’ve never… eaten a tiramisu that was worth the hype. Give me ice cream any day of the week.

It might surprise people to learn that… musicians aren’t cool sexy hunks, they’re actually just huge nerds. Well it surprised my girlfriend lol.
