Interview: Getting to know Claud

LA-based artist Claud is the first signing to Phoebe Bridgers’ record label Saddest Factory, and has dropped a brand new single ‘Gold’. We find out more:

I am… 21 years deep in this weird twisted world, just trying to focus on becoming the best musician, friend and community member I can be.

Gold is… a fun, bouncy, brutally honest song that I wrote about people who never show up for you when you need them.

Home is… constantly changing. I’ve lived in at least 10 different houses, between my parents constantly moving and myself uprooting my life a thousand times.

I spend too much time… cleaning up after myself. I’m very good at making messes.

I’ve never… been to Australia but I really really want to go especially now that the US is quite catastrophic.

It might surprise people to learn that… I love turtles. They’re my favorite reptile and I had 2 of them growing up named Sam and Jake.

In the future… I will probably have gray hair and wrinkly skin but I will have cured the world of loneliness with my music.

Keep up to date with Claud on Insta.
