Our top ten tunes of the week – February 17
These are the songs that have been getting us going over the past seven days:
1. Gordi, Alex Lahey – Dino’s
The song was inspired by the much-loved Nashville dive-bar of the same name from the Australian artists’ time there in 2018.
2. Sarah Neufeld – Stories
This is taken from the new LP from the award winning, violinist, composer, member of Arcade Fire and founding member of Bell Orchestre.
3. Silly Boy Blue – The Riddle
The artist (real name, Ana Benabdelkarim) from Nantes has just dropped her new song and clip, in which she is on a never-ending escalator.
4. Pete Murray – If We Never Dance Again
This is the second single from the legendary artist’s forthcoming EP, The Night, which is set for release Friday March 5th.
5. Dry Cleaning – Strong Feelings
The South London post-punk band have announced that their anticipated debut album, entitled New Long Leg, will be released on Friday 2 April.
6. Eva Shaw – Hennessy feat. Yung Tory & BTK Villeion
This new single is a collaboration between the Toronto-born DJ and producer, and rappers Yung Tory and BTK Villeion.
7. Hayley Mary – Would You Throw A Diamond?
As well as a new single, Hayley Mary has got some live shows coming up over the next few months.
8. L E X – C’EST LA VIE
L E X was born into a family from war-torn Serbia, and now resides on Australia’s East Coast. Check out her debut single.
9. Megan Nash & the Best of Intentions – Quiet
The Canadian resurfaced for the first time in three years at the end of 2020, and now she has revealed another new single.
10. Bonander – Gone in the Wind
This is is lifted from her upcoming album, Things We Don’t Talk About.
