Getting to know The Dangerous Summer

Denver-based rock band The Dangerous Summer have dropped their new single, Someday. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are…  The Dangerous Summer, a band that has ridden the waves of pop punk and emo, but truly have been searching for our place in the alternative rock world. Feels good to be here.

‘Someday’ is… our new single from our new album that will be out this summer!

Home is… The Earth, Mother Nature, and the smaller you can make it feel, the more it feels like home. More factually, I (AJ Perdomo) am in Richmond, VA – USA. Matt is in Denver Colorado. We write and tour with our boys Christian Zawacki from Virginia Beach, and Josh Withenshaw (formerly of Every Avenue) from Nashville, TN.

We spend too much time… working on music, truly. It is becoming a problem in our lives; it swarms our inner beings. I think manic would be a giant understatement.

I’ve never… felt like I couldn’t do it. Like if you put your mind to it, you truly can accomplish anything. I’ve stood in doubt, but obstacles are sometimes the best thing that you can have in your way. I also never had to knock on wood, I know someone who has, which makes me wonder if I could.

It might surprise people to learn that… our 2009 song ‘The Permanent Rain’ became a big success early on, and actually is the opening to the trailer of the Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart movie ‘Love Happens’
