Getting to Know Kat Greta

Multi-instrumentalist Kat Greta has returned with a new single, Season To Believe. We asked her to tell us about herself:

I am… eating Doritos and now I’m thirsty…. Hang on, I’ll be right back….. OK, so – I’m in the studio rehearsing our set, and it looks like this marching snare drum is going to make an appearance for the first time at our Single Launch. It sticks out a bit! Hopefully I don’t knock anything over on the night.

2023 has so far been… a year of change. I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d end up writing a pop song! But here we are, and it’s been fun. I have listened to countless artists from the 60’s and 70’s this past year and just soaking it all up! I’m so lucky to have a bunch of my brother’s and sister’s vintage records here to listen to.

My upcoming Season To Believe Vic tour will be… full of craziness. I end up doing things that are a bit unplanned… I love getting the audience involved, and someone always seems to end up on the tambourine or triangle. Gotta remember to bring that percussion box along.

Home is… where I love to hang out. I’m actually the biggest introvert. I mean, I love being with people too and I love a good chat, but I really need my down time to recharge.

I spend too much time… thinking about food.

I’ve never… tried bacon with maple syrup. Should I? I’ve heard it’s next level.
