Our top ten tunes of the week – October 30

Here are the tracks that have been on constant rotation in our office over the past few days:

1. Holiday Sidewinder – The Last Resort

The Aussie pop provocateur’s new single is set within the dystopian surrounds of a mythical crumbling resort cloaked in the illusion of paradise, and builds on the burgeoning island narrative ignited through previous single, Escape & Retreat, setting the scene for a new chapter in her musical anthology.

2. Blu DeTiger – Cut me Down (feat. Mallrat)

The bass prodigy, burgeoning pop icon and one of our faves returns with a new slice, which features acclaimed Aus artist Mallrat.

3. Tilly Valentine – Yours Is Mine

Reminiscing on the promise of “what’s yours is mine” while discovering an ex’s forgotten belongings, that promise is taken quite literally with this ode to post-relationship liberation.

4. Phoebe Go – Something You Were Trying

This is the first we’ve heard from the Melbourne-based singer-songwriter since the release of her acclaimed debut EP Player last year.

5. RiTcH – Big Dream

The Warrington based singer-songwriter takes viewers on an infinite zoom journey in his new clip.

6. Carla B & the Magpies – Out of the Blue

The Sydney-based indie-folk band dropped their debut self-titled EP on 27th October.

7. Don Gog – I Feel

This is the first single from the Swedish hip-hop and electronica artist’s upcoming EP, Cybernetics.
