Getting to know The Coronas
Dublin’s The Coronas have returned with a new single; a previously unheard song called One Last Time. We asked them to tell about themselves:
We are… a 3 piece indie pop rock band from Dublin. We have had a few platinum selling records in Ireland and we’re currently on a tour bus in Europe. We’re buzzing to play in Australia next month! Our most recent album ‘Time Stopped’ went to number 1 in Ireland, check it out!
2023 has so far been… touring and writing. We’ve been lucky enough to play some big festivals over the summer. We had our biggest headline show of the year in Dublin in June in Fairview Park which was sold out. Hearing 8,000 singing your songs back to you is a feeling we’ll never get used to. We also supported Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park which was cool. We’ve been writing for our next album in between touring and we hope to record early next year.
Our upcoming tour will be… our biggest Australia tour to date. Last November we played some amazing shows in Aus and we can’t believe we’re getting to play in venues such as the Enmore Theatre this time around. We plan to put on a high energy sing-along vibes show, come join us!
Home is… Dublin mainly. These days we’re been spending more time in Dingle, co Kerry, which is a beautiful place in the south west corner of Ireland. I try get down there whenever I have some time off to write
We spend too much time… watching repeats of Seinfeld and Frasier!
