Killswitch Engage announce Aus & NZ tour with Sylosis

Massachusetts metalcore titans Killswitch Engage are officially heading back to Australia and New Zealand this November for their biggest headline run across the region in years, joined by UK heavyweights Sylosis.

Few bands have had the impact Killswitch Engage have over the last two decades. Emerging from the early 2000s metalcore explosion, the band helped define an entire generation of heavy music with landmark releases like Alive Or Just Breathing, The End Of Heartache and As Daylight Dies, blending melodic Swedish-inspired riffing, hardcore aggression and huge emotional hooks into a sound countless bands would later try to emulate.

Fresh off celebrating 25 years as a band and touring behind latest album This Consequence, the Jesse Leach-fronted outfit are promising a career-spanning set packed with classics, fan favourites and newer material alike. The record’s lead single “I Believe” has already become one of the biggest radio hits of the band’s career, proving Killswitch still have plenty left in the tank.

Joining them on all dates are British modern metal crushers Sylosis, whose blend of thrash, melodic death metal and progressive heaviness has earned them a fiercely loyal following over the years. Led by guitarist/vocalist Josh Middleton, the band continue to cement themselves as one of the UK’s most consistent heavy exports.

Killswitch Engage have long held a special connection with Australian audiences, with previous tours and festival appearances becoming the stuff of legend for local heavy music fans. This upcoming run feels set to be another massive one.
