Drain announce Australia tour for 2027

Santa Cruz hardcore outfit Drain have confirmed a run of Australian headline shows for Feb 2027, presented by Destroy All Lines and Last Ride Records. The band will play only four dates across Nambour, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, marking their return to Australian shores after building one of the most talked-about live reputations in the genre.
Drain’s shows have a well-earned reputation for chaos, and having caught them live before, I can vouch for it firsthand. These sets are wild, high-energy, and genuinely one of the most entertaining things you’ll see in the genre. Expect stage dives, mic-grabs, and a crowd that knows every word.
Drain has built their sound from a mix of hardcore punk and crossover thrash. Their 2020 debut California Cursed landed in the middle of global lockdowns and still turned heads, while 2023’s follow-up Living Proof cemented them as one of the genre’s fastest-rising acts. The band signed to Epitaph Records in 2021 and have since gone on to play sold-out headline shows and major festival slots, including a 2026 Coachella debut. The New York Times has credited Drain as a driving force behind hardcore’s resurgence in the 2020s, and their latest record, …Is Your Friend, continues to push that momentum forward.
