Interview: Getting to Know MANE

MANE has recently released a new single and is set to play some live shows soon. We asked her to tell us about herself:

I am Paige (MANE) I’m 23 years old and I’ve just begun binge watching the entire Friends series for the second time this year, maybe the 30th time ever. It’s great.

‘What If The Love Dies’ is my new single I’ve just released about the emotional turmoil and internalised thoughts between two people in a long distance relationship.

My upcoming live shows will be fun. I’ve been working with some really great friends who are also talented musicians in there own right who have helped get the live set together with me. I’m really excited to be touring again and being able to showcase that.

I spend too much time eating Italian food. I know everyone loves Italian food, but I swear, I REALLY love Italian food. I can’t be stopped.

I’ve never watched Twin Peaks. I feel like I need to though. It keeps coming up in conversations recently. Maybe I will.

Home is Adelaide currently. However I grew up in Port Pirie, which is about two-and-a-half hours north of the city. That’s where my family is so I guess it will also always be home for that reason.

It might surprise people to learn that I use to be a swimmer, for a long time I was so set that I was going to go to the Olympics for swimming. Power to anyone who achieves that goal, it requires some serious dedication and training.

In the future I hope I’m continuing to write and release the music I want to be giving to the world and just as a whole feeling really happy and satisfied with whatever it might be that I’m doing and creating.

….

MANE is set to hit the road in Oct/Nov, stopping by The Gasometer (Melbourne) on October 19, Rocket Bar (Adelaide) on Oct 27, Rad Bar (Wollongong) on Nov 1 and Brighton Up Bar (Sydney) on November 2.

Keep up to date with MANE on Facebook.
