Our top ten tunes of the week – August 30

Here are the songs that have been lighting our fireworks over the past few days:

1. Courtney Barnett – Charity

The video by Ashley Connor was shot on glorious 16mm film and captures fly-on-the-wall footage of Barnett and her band spending a day in Toronto, Canada.

2. Art Brut – Wham! Bam! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!

God, we love Art Brut. They’ve got a couple of live dates coming up in London and more to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled.

3. Ezra Furman – Unbelievers

Ezra Furman is currently touring the UK, playing End of the Road this weekend and a headline show at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on Thursday 4th Sept.

4. Richard In Your Mind – All I Can Do

Richard In Your Mind are returning with their fifth studio album, and first release since 2014, ‘Super Love Brain’. The record is out September 21st. Here’s a taster.

5. Erthlings – Bridges

Erthlings will play their debut shows at this year’s Bigsound and will be supporting G Flip across her Sydney dates this September.

6. Emma Louise – Falling Apart

Ahead of her awaited new album, Emma Louise reveals another cut in ‘Falling Apart’, complete with a live video.

7. ILIRA – Whisper my Name

The Kosovo-Albanian artist drops a colourful visual for her debut track.
