Our top ten tunes of the week – August 6

These are the songs that have been lighting our fireworks over the past week. Give them a listen and find a new favourite:

1. Banoffee – Idiot

Alongside this new video, the Melbourne artist has announced that her new album, Teartracks, will be released October 8th.

2. Isabella Manfredi – Sleepwalking (Live At Hubert)

Filmed at her first solo headline show at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney in March, this track was co-written with Australian singer-songwriter Emma Louise, and features on Isabella’s Live At Hubert EP, which is available now.

3. Eves Karydas – Lemonade

Along with the new single, Eves has shared details of her forthcoming Reruns EP, out 24 September via Dew Process.

4. Parcels – Comingback

The five-piece Australian pop-funk band have dropped their new track!

5. Hollie Col – Forgot To Love You

This is the first instalment from the Sydney-based artist’s forthcoming EP which is set for release early 2022.

6. Breathe Panel – Love You, I Love You

The band’s new album, Lets It In, will be released on September 17th via FatCat Records.

7. Tilly Valentine (feat. edbl) – Retail Therapy

Of the song, the British artist says, “I wrote Retail Therapy after the postman asked why I had so many deliveries! I was distracting myself with quick fixes; instead of rationally seeking therapy, I found retail therapy was a much more appealing alternative!”

8. Alice SK Another Girl’s Man

Alice SK’s debut single is a track that blends Folk with Indie to tell an age-old tale of love turning sour.

9. Royel Otis – Only One

The Sydney duo (aka Otis Pavlovic and Royel Maddel) have announced that their debut EP, Campus, will be out September 30.

10. GLOK – Closer (to the Edit)

This is the electronic alter ego of Andy Bell; best-known as the guitarist in venerated shoegazers Ride. This October he releases Pattern Recognition, his first album proper as GLOK.
