The Great Escape 2023 unveils full schedule

Our fave UK festival, The Great Escape, takes place in just three weeks’ time! And to get us all excited, the full festival and conference schedule have dropped, as has the 2023 app.

The event takes place from 10-13 May across multiple venues in Brighton – all within walking distance of each other – with a huge line-up of over 500 artists. Yes, 500+ acts are heading to the south coast.

The schedule can be found here, and via the ever-excellent Great Escape mobile app, which is vital for all TGE attendees who want to stay on top of everything that’s going on. And with so much happening, you’re seriously going to need to make use of such a handy tool.

Artists performing at the festival for new music this year include amazing Yorkshire singer-songwriter Billie Marten, as well as glitch-hop likely lads Sad Night Dynamite, The Heavy Heavy and Eliza Hull. Aussie act Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are another band to watch out for, as are North London indie-rocker Sorry and Irish post-punkers The Murder Capital.

Trance influenced Londoner Rose Gray joins JGrrey, Hak Baker, Sophie May, Mae Stephens, and L Devine, along with LA singer songwriter Deb Never, Mae Stephens, indie pop vocalist Nieve Ella and Brighton natives ARXX.

Also on the bill is the new project from The Maccabees’ Felix and Hugo White, 86TVs, along with one of Scotland’s biggest breakout stars of last year, Dylan John Thomas. Intricate melodist Maddie Zahm and folk-pop artist Sophie May will also play.

Amid all of the new acts, legendary group The Pretenders will also deliver a special headline set.

South-Australian pop band Germein are also hitting Brighton, as are Nottingham indie rockers CUCAMARAS, Brixton band The Last Dinner Party and East London troubadour Hak Baker.

And that is just a very small selection of what to expect from the music side of festival. As for the conference, industry delegates have access to a series of keynote in conversations, a stack of panels and parties presented by TGE’s industry partners, plus networking sessions and the TGE Elevate Sessions.

So much to enjoy then. SO MUCH!
