Anoushka Shankar at Sydney Opera House – photos
The Queen of sitar Anoushka Shankar performed as part of Sydney Festival 2024, and we were there!
The virtuoso musician and composer and her quintet played in the Concert Hall to a sold-out crowd, melding musical styles to deliver a neoclassical approach to Indian music.
The incredible show made up part of the nine-time Grammy nominee’s first Australian tour in 2008, and she brought material from mini-album Chapter I: Forever, For Now, alongside reinterpreted classics from her back-catalogue. from her previous releases.
