Searows announces debut Australian tour

Frontier Touring will bring Portland songwriter Searows to Australia for the first time this November, following the release of his sophomore album Death in the Business of Whaling.

Searows – the project of Alec Duckart, broke out via TikTok in 2020 and self-released his debut album Guard Dog in 2022, recording and producing it alone on GarageBand. The record drew early support from Ethel Cain and Gracie Abrams, leading to support slots with Abrams’ Good Riddance tour and Matt Maltese, and a signing to Maltese’s label, Last Recordings On Earth.

Death in the Business of Whaling, released January 2026, marks his first time recording outside his home studio, produced with Trevor Spencer (Father John Misty, Beach House). The Moby-Dick-referencing record expands his stripped-back acoustic sound with drums, banjo and electric guitar, and has been selling out rooms on its current North American run.

Australian dates are limited to three shows, two in seated venues, making this a rare chance to catch him up close.
