Laneway reveals 2027 line-up led by Fontaines DC and The Hayley Williams Show
Laneway has landed its 2027 line-up, and it’s striking all the right chords. Sydney kicks off the run for the first time, with Fontaines D.C. and The Hayley Williams Show heading a 32-act bill across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland in February. Adelaide and Perth don’t get a look in this year.
Hayley Williams is an exciting get for the iconic festival. The Paramore frontwoman is bringing her solo show to Australian festival stages for the first time, after her Enmore Theatre and Forum Theatre headline shows sold out almost instantly. Laneway gives everyone who missed those rooms another way in.
Fontaines D.C. have come a long way since Dogrel put them on the Mercury Prize shortlist in 2019. Skinty Fia gave the Dublin band their first number one in Ireland and the UK in 2022, and Romance pulled in two Grammy nominations, including Best Rock Album. They will play Perth and Adelaide as well, along with Jane Remover and Tiffany Day, so the cities Laneway skipped still get a slice of the bill.
The rest of the lineup has plenty to dig into. Rico Nasty makes a Laneway debut, and Brooklyn shoegaze band DIIV return after more than a decade away. A young Irish contingent of Gurriers, Bleech 9:3 and Florence Road follows Fontaines across the world, and Ecca Vandal flies the flag for Australian indie punk. Ninajirachi keeps climbing the Laneway ranks, while Slayyyter, Adéla and Kim Petras cover the pop end of the day. Auckland gets a strong local showing in Balu Brigada, Mokomokai, Office Dog, Greatsouth and O & The Mo.
