Getting to know Waxflower

After releasing their debut single ‘Cut Your Teeth’, Brisbane-based pop-punk band Waxflower have just unveiled their new single. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are… a band who have come together to write cathartic music after struggles with mental health and self-acceptance.

Back To Back is… an insight into the neurotic thinking that anxiety/panic disorder fosters and the impact it has had on my interpersonal relationships.

Home is… a feeling created by the love of my friends and family OR my bedroom with the door closed, depending on what day you ask.

I spend too much time… listening to the same 10 albums over and over (mainly Jimmy Eat World).

I’ve never… listened to The Beatles (or at least made a conscious decision to listen to them).

It might surprise people to learn that… Waxflower was originally going to be completely acoustic.
