Getting to know Weatherstate

UK-based punk-rock band Weatherstate have recently released their new single, Current Dose. We asked them to tell us about themselves:

We are… a punk rock band from the South coast of the UK.

Current Dose is… our latest single, possibly one of the most aggressive singles we’ve released. It’s something we’ve been super proud of for a long time, and we’re stoked to finally share it was everyone. It’s a unique song of ours and outside our usually comfort zone but it’s certainly a rocker.

Home is… Weymouth, Dorset. It’s a quiet seaside town on the south coast of the UK. It’s a minor miracle there’s any music coming out from here, let alone punk rock. But we love to fly the flag. It’s a great place. Come down for an ice cream sometime.

I spend too much time… these days, Working the day-job. Summer season is here. The long and short of it is I flip burgers. It’s a great job mind. I’m just caught in the grind of tourist season and everyone and their mum is trying to get away this year. It’s hard to keep up on the grill. Got to love it.

I’ve never… riffed so hard. Other than the new single “Current Dose” by the south coast punk rock band “Weatherstate”. Honestly though, it’s something we haven’t truly ventured in on before this new record and we really are that proud of this single.

It might surprise people to learn that… we’re huge pop music fans. Typically, guilty of early 2000’s pop. Probably the least punk rock thing we’ve said today. But it is true.
